REVIEW: Tim Barry - 40 Miler
Tim Barry was always one of those names that I’d heard of, but hadn’t actually heard. All I knew was he used to be in Avail, and was doing some sort of acoustic punk these days. I dismissed him as ‘just another punk with an acoustic’ and never really paid him any attention.
INTERVIEW: Grand Hotel Paradox
A while back I got an e-mail from a band from Dubai called Grand Hotel Paradox. This stood out straight away as I don’t think I’ve ever had a band from the Middle East contact me before, let alone a punk band from the Middle East. Guitarist and vocalist Chris Ryan was nice enough to talk to us about his band, his label, the Middle East, the Helping Hands charity, and much more.
INTERVIEW: Kamikaze-Radio
Kamikaze-Radio are a new band from Norwich, featuring friends of mine and ex-members of Norwich staples Spot, Pocket Godzillas and others. Their drummer “Big” Mike Waters - who you may also know as professional wrestler Bulk from the UK Pitbulls tag team - was nice enough to answer a few questions.
All new Kill Your Own!
Welcome to the all new Kill Your Own. As you might have guessed, I pretty much gave up on the printed fanzine. As much as I loved doing it, it became a chore and - by the time it was finished - it always felt woefully out of date. The current plan is to carry on as this online webzine and - every few months or so - producing a printed “anthology” of all of the best bits from the site.
Sound good? I hope so.
So anyway, thanks for coming back; and I really hope this new website fulfils your punk rock zine needs.
Ian
